Something I find interesting and perhaps telling about people who run in yiffy circles and people who complain about them, the people in the yiffy circles are almost always very affectionate and open in far more ways than just sex, while the people who always complain about them misrepresent them as being monomaniacal about sex...
I think the people in the yiffy circles are just open about things in general, and the people who don't like them are just judgemental.
I wouldn't normally turn to British Vogue for a strident defence of Diane Abbott, but...
''none of this parliamentary rhetoric about extremism & MP safety has been mobilised to protect Diane Abbott after the Conservative’s biggest donor said he wanted to shoot her. Quite the opposite; the system has moved to shield Frank Hester, a poor man who made a little mistake & needs to be given grace and compassion'!
A (rightly) angry piece

“When Is Inequality Taken Seriously And When Is It Dismissed As A Trick Of The Light?”: What Diane Abbott’s Treatment Reveals About The State Of British Politics
Frank Hester’s shockingly violent, overtly racist comments on Diane Abbott reflect a hatred that runs so deep, he couldn’t help bringing her up in a conversation she had no relevance to, then broadening out his sentiment to every woman of her ethnic …Moya Lothian-McLean (British Vogue)

And let’s not forget that UBI contribute back to society - 80+% of recipients care for family (young & old), volunteer, work part time, start a business, etc. And UBI translates into savings for social programs by reducing pressure on expensive services like hospital ER’s, ambulances & police.
If you’re not for UBI, you’re shamefully cruel and short sighted.
Many of us #ActuallyAutistic folk, myself included, harp on #AutismAwarenessMonth like it's a stupid idea because it's really about BEWAREness, but I actually would like it if more people were aware that they don't know anything accurate about #autism or that #autistic people exist pretty much everywhere.
In light of that, I have some demands for any media published during AAM:
1. Every article about psychology or mental health includes information about how it is only for NTs and is not helpful for autistic people.
2. All YouTube videos remove background music when someone is talking.
3. Every autistically coded fictional character has to mention they are actually autistic on screen so it becomes canon, while making a subtextual joke about how they are being portrayed by an allistic actor who is undoubtably getting it mostly wrong.
4. Any use of a puzzle piece or the color blue must include an disclaimer that it is being used over the objections of autistic people but they just don't care.
Anyone else have some demands to add to the list?

Most people can recognise a job making a useful and valuable contribution to society, even if its not paid all that well.
The pay for a job is based on supply and demand, not 'value' to wider society.
If a job require a very high IQ or very specific skill set, the supply of candidates will be low. If a job is very dangerous or just plain unpleasant the demand will be low.
If you do a very dangerous job that also requires a high IQ you will be paid very well.

I mean this in the most loving way possible... if there are sexual fluids, boners, or even if the person is just shoving their genitals in your face in a picture, it's not "non-sexual"
If the picture is trying to get a sexual reaction outta the viewer, it's prolly sexual. If the nudity is just incidental or just part of the vibe, then it's prolly non-sexual.
Another screenshot from this "Topless Topics Reacts to Euronews article 'Free The Nipple: Why should it still be headline news?'" video I'm editing, showing one of the endless number of examples of images that anyone who "looks male" would be allowed to wear outside and/or post to any mainstream social media or video sharing platform, while anyone who "looks female" posing exactly the same way, wearing exactly the same shirt, could not without having the post banned as "sexually explicit nudity" 🙃

We need help to pay for our backups. This is a yearly funding campaign that we do, so if you can help us please see here https://www.tromsite.com/trom-backup/ - we only need 300 Euros for a full year of 4TB encrypted backups.
This means everything from our videos and documentaries, books, websites, including trom.tf (meaning all of the files that users have uploaded to our services - from Peertube videos to Nextcloud files). Everything!
300 Euros to make sure that we have everything backed-up in a secure place.
Please help if you can and thanks a lot for doing that!

I expected the pushback to this to be more on social media than on derpibooru. derpibooru.org/images/3315509
The usual dumb arguments. Any time you are saying "it's okay to deliberately kill unarmed civilians including children en masse, because..." you should stop right there.

The BBC News Verify team has published their first article using a new open media provenance technology called C2PA that we've been working on for the past three years.
This shows where media comes from and how it’s been edited - like an audit trail or a history.

There were several points in my life where I could not take advantage of an interesting education opportunity because it was located someplace where there was no hourly-wage work available.
College took twice as long because I had to work full time the whole way through.
I had to abandon one career because I couldn’t support myself while I ramped up the commissions.
I couldn’t afford art supplies.
UBI would have made a huge difference in my housing stability.
