Someone else (ISP technician) tried to use my PC. This went as expected:
— They were confused by my vertical mouse
— They weren't much confused by my blank keyboard, but got confused by colemak layout
— They tried to minimize my Firefox. Didn't find the minimize button
— They tried to do this to open a browser (my firefox has vertical tabs so probably they didn't notice)
— In a new tab, they typed 192.168.1.1 while I opened them this tab beforehand
— They tried to press Win+R. Turns out I use Linux
— Welp, after learning this and seeing a lot of networking equipment (and me doing network diagnostics on my end for them) they gave respect and went straight to troubleshooting PON and fiber
Jokes aside, I must admit, small local ISPs are nice and friendly. 24/7 priority support is also a plus.

Creative Boeing reference aside, if anything this case shows the benefits of having open source code.
Yes there was problematic code in an open source project but because it was open source, the code could be inspected and the problem found
Closed source software relies on people believing whatever the developer claims with no way to verify if its true or not
So what has the Israeli Slaughter of innocents taught us? It's taught us that you can ignore the Geneva Convention for example, so if you capture any service people, you can ignore the rules of law and torture and murder surrendered soldiers (America take note, you've been involved in more wars than any other country since WWII). It means you can destroy water, and all other utilities even if it causes the revival of old diseases. You can torture and murder civilians, you can use chemical weapons against civilians. You can steal land, property, destroy crops and livestock, destroy buildings & hospitals.
Those supporting Israels Palestinian Genocide should remember that you reap what you sow. You can't expect others to follow international law if you wont do so yourself. That genie is now well and truly out of the bottle. Well done America/UK/Australia/EU, etc.

thinking about zoomer slang just gave me a eureka--
you know all my rants about how hypocritical, nonsensical and sexist mainstream social media and video hosting platforms' #censorship against "female-looking nipples" but not "male looking nipples" is? Even if a 90% naked dude is giving someone a lap dance isn't "intended for sexual gratification", vs a topless woman sitting motionlessly under a tree reading a book and THAT somehow is?
You could essentially say that all these mainstream platforms decide who and when to apply censorship against "based on vibes."
Right and it is all the more ironic when you think about how many times these people use the "fuck your feelings" response when someone tries to address any inequity.
Suddenly those fee-fees matter when it comes to repressing/opressing others.

There's a subset of people here that are really aggressive at telling everyone (rudely) that they are breaking some unwritten rule of etiquette. My rule of etiquette is if you don't have the decency to be decent to someone you don't even know, why would I want to know you?
I don't advocate using private messages here for sensitive stuff, but you're always more effective convincing someone of your thinking if you confront them privately first.
tl;dr I don't have any patience for being told what to do, and will block or mute you indefinitely if you do this to me.
